What'd ya think I was talking about? Yup, the boys got new pigs. They love em. Don't worry though. The boys know that we will butcher them. Honestly, they have no problem with it. (We did this last year. These pigs are way cuter. They are growing really fast too. And its seems like they eat a lot more than the last ones. I don't know if they really do or not. But it is one of the best learning experiences for the boys.
I don't have to get on them to do the pig chores either. They treat them like pets, checking on them constantly. Really there's not a lot to do with them since they are on a self feeder. But we like to make sure that the four of them are still in the pen!
I'm thinking I really want this pork sign too for my kitchen! And maybe the beef one too;)

oh my goodness—-we want pigs {to butcher} so badly! we were talking to a guy at our church and he said it’s too late to get pigs this year…but i’ve seen a bunch on craigslist. what kind of pigs are they? i’m going to read your link about what you did last year. we figure we can get weaner pigs and then just butcher in 5 or 6 months right?
