Yup, that's what the yarn is for. It's a lighter weight yarn than what I'm used to, but I think it will be a cool afghan.
You start out with all these little circles.
Then I'm going to attach them all with a creamy/white yarn! Here's some that I've started.
I think there is something so cool about the white yarn with all the colors!

The colors of the yarn are great! It reminds me of a colorful, yarn version of a yo-yo quilt :)
